One morning while I was reading a certain news story, I was also watching a restaurant employee make flower arrangements for each table. The news story concerned a law suit alleging that Meta used AI to tag workers who took leave to be laid off (“Lawsuit filed by dozens of employees says people who took maternity or disability leave were disproportionately selected for layoffs”). There are those who arrange the flowers –

A job, I suppose, for a good, long life.

Rather than being the AI’d person,

Who who to layoff gets to decide.

Of course in Japan, flower-arranging…

You can long study, get a master’s degree.

And so, too, with laying off, technology.

(Can we certify, too, standing to pee?)

Quelques mots à propos de l’IA, des licenciements, des diplômes de deuxième et troisième cycles, et des fleurs

Il y a ceux qui s’occupent des compositions florales – un métier, je suppose, pour mener une longue, belle vie. Plutôt que d’être celui qui, avec l’aide d’IA, détermine qui sera licencié.

Bien que, au Japon, l’ikebana, l’art floral… On peut l’étudier très longtemps, obtenir un master. Et il en va de même pour les licenciements, la technologie. (La capacité d’uriner : certaines l’aimerait la certifier aussi ?)

Et que pourrions-nous encore apprendre des fleurs ? Les meilleurs travailleurs les laissent telles quelles ?

Hay quienes se dedican a arreglar flores… Un trabajo, supongo, para una vida larga y hermosa. En lugar de ser la persona que, con la ayuda de la IA, decide a quién despedir.

Aunque, en Japón, el ikebana, el arte floral… Se puede estudiar durante mucho tiempo, se puede obtener un máster. Y lo mismo ocurre con los despidos y la tecnología. (¿La capacidad de orinar? ¿A algunos les gustaría también certificarla?)
